One of the best parts of Fort Worth, Texas, is the abundance of hotels and Airbnbs in the area. If you are coming from out of town, a few things to consider regarding lodging other than budget, are proximity to the venue and what you are interested in experiencing based on your wants and needs. Some locations are provided below.

Magnolia/South Main

This little neighborhood in Fort Worth is where Kristen and Nigel live; this area is approximately 30 minutes from the venue. This area is similar to 7th street in terms of fun, and is a slightly older crowd and not overwhelming. This area is chock full of good restaurants and bars with flair. Magnolia is 5 minutes from downtown and 10 minutes from The Stockyards. This area has some hotels and airbnbs and is quieter than downtown. Consider staying in this area if you’re interested in local drinks/food, great walkability, and being the closest to Kristen and Nigel. Great area to get some barbecue and check out a hipster bar.

7st street

This area is the most lively area of Fort Worth. 7th is approximately 30 minutes from the venue. Consider staying here if you are someone who wants to party all day long and is not bothered by noise and college aged individuals. Great places to watch a game, shop, or have brunch with friends. This area is only 5 minutes from where Nigel and Kristen live.

Downtown

The heart of Fort Worth, where there are numerous hotels and restaurants that range in price and quality. Downtown is approximately 30minutes from the venue, 10 minutes south of The Stockyards, and 5 minutes north of South Main. Downtown Fort Worth is great for those that love the city vibe and walking around; downtown has its unique sights and is not overly loud. This is also where the after party will be located and where the buses will drop off guests for those who choose to utilize them. Great place to have a fancy weekend.

Stockyards

The Stockyards is a popular area in North Fort Worth that is 30 minutes away from the venue and 10minutes north of downtown. The Stockyards provide your true Texan experience full of daily cattle drives, live music, Tex-Mex, and history. There are hotels and luxury stays here; consider staying here if you want the cowboy experience. The after wedding brunch will be hosted in the Stockyards. Great place to have Tex Mex and two step.

White Settlement

This is the city where Nigel grew up and where his parents currently live. White settlement is in between Azle and Downtown Fort Worth. White settlement is approximately 15-20 minutes from the venue. White settlement is close to all major highways and you can easily travel to upbeat areas within a few minutes while staying away from any noise. There are some budget friendly hotels in White Settlement as well as airbnbs. Consider staying in this location if you want to see Nigel’s family as well as staying right in the middle of all the other locations.

Azle

Azle is city where the venue is located, if you stay in Azle you will have the shortest commute to the ceremony and reception. This area is very suburban and close to Eagle Mountain Lake. This city is approximately 25-30 mins from downtown Fort Worth. There are a few hotels and some spacious airbnbs with country living here. Consider staying here if you don’t want the hustle and bustle and want to have the easiest commute to the wedding.
